Driving Public Impact Forward
Deep Shreveport roots. More than 30 years of grassroots leadership and community service.
Craig B. Lee is a longtime community advocate, entrepreneur, and grassroots leader whose service to Shreveport spans more than three decades. His work has consistently focused on empowering underserved communities, expanding economic opportunity, developing future leaders, preserving local history, and ensuring that residents have a meaningful voice in the decisions affecting their lives.
Craig’s commitment to leadership began at Fair Park High School, where he served as student council president, senior class president, and vice president of the National Honor Society. He continued his education at Xavier University of Louisiana, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Economics. While at Xavier, he made the Dean’s List and received the university’s Top Marketing Student Award.
Since 1995, Craig has combined his professional experience with hands-on community leadership. He is the owner and CEO of Creole Soul, LLC; chairman of GET UP Inc.—Generating Empowerment to Transform Underserved People; and an empowerment coach through MOVE Empowerment Training. His service also includes leadership with the Tuesday Morning Breakfast Group, the Fairfield Historic District Association, Political Advocates for Independent Democracy, the Xavier University Alumni Association of North Louisiana, the C.C. Antoine celebrations, and Dads On Duty–USA.
Craig has been a resident and property owner in the Fairfield Historic District since 2006. His connection to the area is also part of a deeper family legacy: he is the great-great-nephew of Giles D. Moore, founder of Mooretown. These roots have shaped his commitment to protecting Shreveport’s history while building new opportunities for its future.
For Craig, running for City Council is not the beginning of public service—it is the next step in a life devoted to it. He is seeking to bring experienced, ethical, and people-centered leadership to City Hall while working alongside residents to build a stronger District B and a more prosperous Shreveport.
